So I’m currently serving out a long-term self-imposed ban on buying fabric – with the limited possibility of a purchase in exceptional circumstances (specific need and garanteed to be used immediately and not stored for years on end….). I don’t think I’m alone in having a slightly embarrassing fabric stash that I would need a lifetime to get through. This is mainly because I have very little free time to dedicate to the sport of sewing.
But having this and also having limited space at home has given me an added sense of determination to reduce the load. I’ve brainstormed ways to use it up, without just wasting it obviously (there are some very precious fabrics that I’m quite attached to…)
I’ve been wanting to share my ideas for a while and I’m finally putting pen to paper and photos to ideas….So for anyone who is in a similar predicament here are my suggestions, I will add photos and info as and when I have time. I’ll also go into more detail about how I’ve done some of these projects, although there is never just one way to do the.
